DC and AC lab

In AC lab students will be able to understand the basic theories of analog communication system, working of analog modulators and demodulators, passive filters, frequency mixer. With this knowledge students can design basic analog systems to solve a given communications problem

In DC lab students will be able to understand the basic theories of digital communication system, working of digital modulators and de modulators,Time division multiplexing system. With this knowledge students can design basic digital systems to solve a given communications problem

EDC Lab and AEC lab

In EDC lab students will be able to study and analyses the basic electronic devices like diodes, BJTs, JFETs, Half-wave & full-wave rectifiers. Rectifiers are introduced and their performances with different types of filters are observed and basic amplifiers. With this knowledge students will be able to do mini-projects with the help of diodes and transistors.

In AEC lab students will be able to understand the principles and parameters of different amplifiers, oscillators and to study the characteristics of OP-AMP by measuring various parameters. With this knowledge students will be able to do mini-projects with the help of amplifiers and Oscillators.

EDC Lab- II and LIC & PDC Lab

In pulse circuits lab students will be able to analyse and design different linear and non-linear waveforms with different time constants and different types of inputs, with and without reference voltages using linear and non-linear wave shaping circuits.  Design, analysis and voltage regulators circuits will be done.
In Integrated circuits lab Design and analysis of linear and non-linear circuits using operational amplifiers, 1st & 3rd order active filters, voltage regulators, multivibrators using timers, Schmitt trigger circuits will be done. Identification, verification and applications of ICs like LM741, 555 timer and three terminal regulators (7805, 7808 etc) will be taught. With this knowledge students will be able to do the mini-projects with the help of integrated circuits.

Microprocessors and DIC Lab

The objective of DIC laboratory is to introduce the basics of digital integrated circuit design and to make students understand the Design procedures and behavior of combinational and sequential digital circuits. This lab comprises of the following equipment.

The objective of MPA laboratory is to make the students expertise in programming the 8085 and 8086 Microprocessors and interfacing various I/O devices to them. This is a well established lab consisting of the following equipment.

Microwave Lab

In microwave lab hands on experience is given to students to calculate VSWR,Directivity etc of different types of antennas and the students will be working on different waveguide components.

A key part of the microwave laboratory experience is to learn how to use microwave test equipment to make measurements of power, frequency, S parameters, SWR, return loss, and insertion loss.

VHDL and DSP Lab

The objective of DSP lab is to carry out software and hardware experiments illustrating the basic principles and techniques of digital signal processing and to learn the programming of real-time signal processing algorithms

Project Lab

The Project/ R&D Laboratory is equipped with 10-user licensed ‘MATLAB 7.2 software’ with 7 tool kits – Simu Link, Signal Processing, Filter Design, Image Processing, Image Acquisition, Control Systems and SIM Power system, single user Mentor Graphics ’Tanner tools software’ for carrying out VLSI projects and 3 user ‘Hyper Lynx 3D EM super structure design software’ for 3 dimensional design of an antenna and simulation. It also houses two Texas Instruments ‘TMS 320C6713 DSP starter kits with Code Composer Studio’ to perform projects on signal processing. The laboratory is also furnished with licensed National Instruments ‘LabVIEW 2012 academic premium suite software’ along with IEEE 1360 frame grabber card and video capturing CCD camera to design various electronic circuits and signal processing. The lab also contains soldering kit for carrying out hardware projects.
