A one day workshop on “LabVIEW and its applications” has been organized by ISF of ANITS on 08-10- 2017 for the benefit of students of ECE.Mr J.Bhaskar Rao and Mr A.Siva Kumar delivered presentations on

LabVIEW followed by hands on training on labview for applications related to image processing and signal processing.Total 75 students attended the workshop.

A guest lecture by Mr.P.Trimurthulu, Scientist-G, Project Director                                  (Varunastra & ALWT(Advanced Lightweight Torpedo technology), Naval Science & Technological Laboratory(NSTL), Visakhapatnam is arranged for the benefit of faculty and students on “Torpedo Engineering”.  This lecture is organized by Antennas and Microwave Group of the department of ECE in association with ISF, ANITS on 31.10.2017 (Tuesday) from 10:30 A.M to 12 Noon

Workshop(Phase-I)

The IETE Student Forum of ECE Department, ANITS, in association with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has organized a three day workshop on Embedded Systems (IoT) Fundamentals using Arduino & 8051 Microcontroller from 02-01-2018 to 04-01-2018.  112 ANITS 3/4 ECE & EEE students have enrolled for this workshop. Four trainers from APSSDC, Mr. S. Murali Krishna , Mr. B. Nagaraj , Mr. S.K. Zubear and Mr. B. Mahidhar handled the sessions.

Workshop(Phase-II)

APSSDC (Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation) and IETE Student forum of Department of ECE conducted a 3-day workshop on EMBEDDED SYSTEM ADVANCED (Phase-2) in association with Tinkerer’s lab of Department of ECE from 15th February to 17th February 2018 for 3rd Year ECE & EEE students in Department of ECE, ANITS. This workshop aims at imparting job-oriented training on Internet of Things using Raspberry Pi & Amazon Web Services (AWS IoT).

QUIZ

The IETE student Forum (ISF), Department of ECE organized an quiz event in collaboration with the T.I.M.E institute of Vizag Named “INQUIZITIVE" on 18th August 2018 for all the branches of B.Tech pursuing students. The event was conducted at the central auditorium (A-block).A total of 163 teams, each consisting of 2 participants, participated in the competition. A preliminary Screening test was conducted first, where handouts were given to the participants, from which 7 teams were shortlisted. The final quiz was organized with these7 teams by Mr. N.Gautam, Branch coordinator, T.I.M.E institute of Vizag as Quiz master.

ANITS ISF has organized 6 technical events under the tech-fest Tachyon-2k19, a “paper presentation” event was organized for which Department received more than 100 papers from internal and external participants and 79 papers were selected for the presentation. Total 8 sessions are conducted for the two days paper presentation event (22/02/2019 & 23/02/2019). Based on the evaluation of panel members, the winners were awarded with merit certificates with cash prizes.

A Coding contest “CodeDecode” was conducted for students to provide students, a platform to exhibit their coding skills. A Total of 162 students are participated individually in this event. Three different rounds were conducted to test the participants. The third round was conducted on 23nd February, 2019 online in Hackerrank. Participants, who solved highest number of test cases, were awarded with prizes and certificates.

A board game,” Snakes and Ladders” based technical quiz titled ”Crack and Roll” was organized by ISF under the tech-fest Tachyon-2k19. Total 20 teams participated in the event, with three members per team. Different rounds were conducted and final winners were awarded prize money and certificates.

An Event titled “DIGITRADE” was conducted on 22-02-2019 by the department of ECE –ANITS and ISF ANITS in which participants have to earn coins in order implement a circuit design. 35 teams participated in this event, with three members per team. Finalists have been awarded with cash prize of RS 1000/- as first prize and Rs 500/- as second prize.

Hardware expo

A “Hardware expo” was organized by the department of ECE –ANITS and ISF ANITS. A total of 63 teams have registered for the event. The size of the team varies from 2-4. A total of 225 students have registered for this Hardware Expo Event. This event was conducted on first day of the technical fest “TACHON 2.0” held on 22/02/2019. The judges for this event were Dr.Praveen Babu Choppala, Associate professor, Dept. of ECE and Prof.Kolluri Sri Ranga Rao, Retd. NSTL Scientist. The winning team with title  “Autonomous guiding system for blind “ from GMRIT, Rajam were awarded with a cash prize of worth Rs.12,500/- .

A Business oriented event “Business Combat” was organized by ANITS ISF on 10-02-2019 to provide students to exhibit their business skills and strategies. Participants had to go through three different rounds where they have to exhibit their strategies to   promote a Product. The Final winners were awarded with cash prize by the judges of the day, Mr. Madhav Reddy, a Corporate Trainer for Startup and Mr. Sudhakar Pantula, CEO, Prospecta technologies.
